Dr. Nathalie Côté served as Quebec’s Chief Veterinary Officer from 2015 to 2016. Graduating from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in 2001, Nathalie completed an internship in the birds of prey clinic, as well as a master’s degree in epidemiology. Since June 2002, she has been working for Quebec’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. She first worked in epidemio-surveillance for several years before holding various management positions in laboratories, food safety, and animal health. Since 2020, she has been the Executive Director of Animal Health and Welfare Expertise, and President of the Quebec animal health and welfare strategy.
